Welcome to HaleChannel.com – a website that helps brides and grooms connect with the best photography team in the area.
My name is Brian Hale and I'm a full time photographer making a living from doing what I love best ...Photography.
I'm also a husband, fix-it-all handyman and a father to a 4-year old little girl named Cleo.
From Hobby to Profession
Back in 1998 I was busy studying photography and I stumbled upon a request to photograph someone's wedding. I didn’t know it at the time but that moment would change my life. I know it's kinda cheezy but it's actually true.
Over the years I continued to study photography, upgrading equipment and photographing weddings. I've learned so much from the experience of growing with the technology and watching the wedding and photography trends.
As my photos have grown in popularity, my wedding photography has grown from a part time job (some would say an obsession), to a full-fledged business. I have built my photography into an income source that has enabled me to dedicate all my time to the medium to the point where I am currently a full time photographer with a beautiful studio location in Chicopee.
If you would like to learn more about how I became a professional photographer I'd love to meet up for a cup of coffee with you to chat more. You are also invited to come and visit the studio for a personal tour any time.
I opened HaleChannel Studio in September 2011 mainly because I needed a place to display my work and connect with potential clients. The studio is located in an old mill building with high ceilings and large natural light windows. Since then I’ve added a number of styled studio setups, backdrops, props and professional lighting. The studio has enabled me to add newborn photography, corporate head shots and senior portraits to my skill set.
The Move to Video
In the summer of 2012 I launched another side of my business called HaleChannel Wedding Films, a videography service that offers cinematic quality wedding films. The transition from photography into the world of video came naturally, as many of the lessons I learned studying photography applied directly to video. The video side of my business is growing steadily and currently 40% of my work load is video related.
